Happy Holiday my dear sons
My two young boys are away for a holiday and also with a mission to accompany my sis coming back for good to Malaysia. I know sometimes Faris and Fatih miss the ups and down life in England. They know how difficult to get halal food and in most cases, we have to read the labels with extra care just to ensure that we can consume the food. My husband and I have been trying our best to instill the importance of taking halal food and also tayiba. The challenge is when we come back to Malaysia, we assume everything is halal. Faris has been arguing that logo halal issues by JAKIM is the only logo that we should trust, he reads a lot, not only Upin Ipin comic but also news and gossips (I guess)..My doa is hopefully that they are having a great time of school holiday- a week in London..(my body is here in malaysia but my mind is in Edgware Road, London)..:)

November 2011
Alhamdulillah, November comes. It is a meaningful month not only for me but also for all members in the family. Congratulations to my little sister for grabbing the title Dr. the new addition in the family. It is only a beginning and hope life will be better. 2011 flies so fast, and I have been thinking deeply what have I done all these months. Time also to move and hopefully, I have the chance to ziarah Makkah and Madinah soon. Insya Allah, pray for me and all Muslims around the world. Life is meaningless without His Blessings and Barakah.

Backbiting and slander
Recently, a professor told me that backbiting is a serious matter in our institution. Any reasonable man knows that backbiting is not only serious but also against the Islamic teaching. Working in an institution which upholds the word Islamic- it is challenging, as it is not easy to reflect as what our name carries! Backbiting not only make people or community divided but we become more suspicious towards each others. Nobody is perfect but we aim to improve our deeds everyday by performing solat five times a day. As a muslim we are encouraged to be forgiving. Life is too short for us to backbiting. In some circumstances, backbiting may amount to slander. At the end of the day, we hope not only to preserve our relationship with the Creater, Allah s.w.t but also with other mankind. Insya Allah.

July 2011
How time flies, it is now July! Seeing my boys to school- it is a mixed feeling! I hope they are coping very well with the Malaysian education system. Mid June, I had to travel to Kuala Terengganu to visit my students industrial training. We took this opportunity to visit my parents in law in Besut. We have not been back to kampung since Eidul Fitri 2009- almost two years! Unbelievable. We enjoyed the journey, I guess my boys also enjoyed it very much too. With the assistance of VCD player, baby Fakhri really like to watch Boboi TV3- we bought the compilation.
Alhamdulillah...:)

May 2011
The month of May begins with a public holiday 1st May 2011- a labour day, there was no such labour day in England, perhaps, it is because English people are master, whereas others are colonized by English. Fakhri is now two years plus plus, and getting cheeky everyday, likes to talk and so friendly. My work is also getting a little bit slow, what are the reasons for that? Life is demanding sometimes, attention also is needed especially to your small ones, I have three growing boys..I like arguing sometimes with them, being their mama, I guess I justify myself to do that, for their future too.:)

ALhamdulillah..
Today is Parent Teacher Day for Fatih and Faris- they are learning and doing quite well in school. The most important achievement, they like schooling in Malaysia. Exposure to schooling in England, they tend to compare a lot with Malaysia!

I like school..
After a long day, how do you feel when your son said I like school. Alhamdulillah, Fatih a.k.a Irsyadi has started to fall in love with his school. Despite what he has undergone, he has been trying to catch up what he has missed, he likes school. I understand why those have the exposure to the English system might not in favour with the Malaysian system- education in Malaysia is more towards exam oriented. Definitely, I am not against the exam oriented system but give me a break, children at standard one are expected to compose composition. The debates I guess is not about the system per se, hello, excuse me, it is our children- what type of person we would like to mould? A snobbish person/ A humble person/ A stubborn person- the choice is yours as parents. I pray that Allah will always guide us in making decision- for the benefit of ummah.
